The National ICT Business & Innovation Symposium 2014 opened on Sunday 9th November, 2014.
The Symposium and it’s objectives are of utmost importance. Our dependence on the hydrocarbon sectors is unsustainable and highly risky. Whatever means we can use to bring about the transformation that is necessary to diversify our economy must be cheered on as we cooperate with one another.
The story given by iGovTT Chairwoman Jacqueline Syms in her opening remarks can motivate and inspire, if we take these lessons to heart. Estonia transitioned to a digital economy in one decade. Being that they have an even slightly smaller population size, we should feel even more motivated of the possibilities we can harness.
